The Foundation's 7th exhibition, théâtre, cinéma, music-hall, ballet,
concentrates on a lesser-known facet of Yves Saint Laurent's work and
presents the couturier's creations for the stage ans screen and for
legendary performers. Performers like Catherine Deneuve in Belle de
Jour, Arletty in Les monsters sacrés, Anny Duperey in Alain Resnais'
Stavisky, Isabelle Adjani in Subway, or Geneviève Page in the 1978
stage production of L'Aigle à deux têtes. A close friends of Zizi
Jeanmaire and Roland Petit, he signed the sets ans costumes for
Champagne rosé, for the famous feather dress show, for Notre-Dame at
the Paris Opera and for Cyrano de Bergerac as early as 1959. All these
great moments from stage history are brought back to life through 17
dresses, film extracts, photographs and original sketches presented for
the first time.
