Interior designer Jean-Michel Frank (1895-1941) is a legendary figure in the field of decorative arts. Cousin of Anne Frank, writer of the famous diary, his own biography portrays him as a gothic novel character. This exhibition, the first ever to be held in France, illustrates his artistic adventure. Bringing together furniture and objects imagined by the designer, the exhibition brings to life the intransigent creator's very special atmospheres and their interaction with Surrealism, the universe of Jean Cocteau, and the social and aesthetic revolutions of the period between the two world wars.
